世界最大級の機関投資家グループとしてPrivate Credit事業を世界的に展開しております。
投資の自由度も高く、日本市場に合うファンドと思いました。

今回の採用はスローで進む予定ですが、先んじて本国からExpatが１名東京に来ており、オフィスセットアップや採用を見ております。

2026年中はCasual Chatを中心に進める予定であり、本格的にFormal Processとなるのは2027年始からの想定です。
候補者の状況に応じてProcessはDesign予定です。

- About the Client:
This client is a global alternative investment firm focused primarily on private credit and direct lending. Following its combination with one of the world's leading asset managers, the client continues to invest through its own managed funds while benefiting from the broader platform, brand and network.

Unlike several major alternative asset managers, the client does not operate a private equity business, allowing the firm to partner broadly with private equity sponsors without potential conflicts with an affiliated PE platform.


- Private Credit Business:
This client is fundamentally a private credit / direct lending investment platform, with an established business in the U.S. and other international markets.

In Japan, the initial focus is expected to be on:
Mezzanine financing
Financing supporting sponsor-backed / LBO transactions
Direct lending opportunities involving Japanese corporates
Transactions sourced or executed in cooperation with banks

Highly analytical and data-driven
Less dependent on relationship-based investing

- Candidate Profile:
The initial Japan hire is to be at the VP / Director level, with the below criteria.

Relevant backgrounds could include:
Private credit / direct lending
Leveraged finance
Structured finance / structured credit
Investment banking
Minority / structured equity investing
Japanese megabanks or other institutions with relevant financing experience


Key Attributes:
Japanese: Strong / native-level Japanese is highly desirable given the need to operate effectively in the local market.


Cultural fit:
Candidates should be comfortable operating in a relatively flat organization and communicating directly with senior investment professionals.
This client places relatively less emphasis on pure relationship/origination skills and greater emphasis on analytical ability and investment capabilities.
