Job Description

They are one of the biggest PE fund in US, having a Singapore office as the headquarter of APAC business.
They will open an office in Tokyo. So work location can be considered both in Singapore & Tokyo, prefer in Tokyo.

We have introduced a Japanese candidate in this year, we know them very well and highly recomend you apply since the role is quite attractive and a rare opportunity to work in Singapore or Tokyo for a top tier PE fund.

They are seeking highly motivated team-oriented Associate ~ VP of investment professionals to join the firm as part of its global investment management business.

Associate/VP play an integral role in forecasting operating results and financial returns for potential new investments. Associate/VP is expected to think with an investor’s mentality and will play a critical role in identifying key opportunities and due diligence items in new investments.

Equity check is around 500 million, focusing on a large cap deal. Japan is the No. 1 priority in Asia to invest for them, so they would be keen to hire a senior analyst or junior associate for their investment team. They already have a Japanese Senior Associate and are hiring another Japanese professional to boost up Japan and Asia investment.

既に当社から１名日本人の方を採用いただいているGlobal Fundです。今回は日本市場向けコミットを更に強くするため、Associate ~ VP levelの募集について依頼を受けております。採用ニーズはかなり高いです。
２０２５年に東京オフィスを開設する可能性があり、東京ベースを想定しております。
また、２０２４年に日本企業を買収完了しており、日本マーケットへ更に強くコミットして参ります。

■投資手法
・オペレーションとしては、メガファンドと変わらない。一つのファンドの投資期間１０年程度。
・投資チームはシンガポールからアジア全体を見ている。
・投資チームがバリューアップも投資先の管理もする。
・大きくターンアラウンドを実行するのではなく、バリューＡＤＤ型の投資。
・基本的にＣａｓｈリッチな企業に投資をすることになる。
・Equity Checkは５００ＭＭ程度(500億円程度)

■採用背景
・現在次号ファンドをレイズ中。
・その中でアジアがパイとしては大きくなる。
・そして、日本がアジアの中で最も優先度高い国となる。
・今は2名しか日本人スタッフがいないが、もう１名メンバーが必要。
・Singaporeのチームのため、アジアの色々な案件にリソースに組み込まれる。

Required Experience

※優先は東京勤務のAssociate採用

■Associate向けに求められるスキル、経験
Ideally, someone with 3+ years of IBD experience, a hard worker and fluent English level.

・日英bilingualは重要（但し２０２５年に東京オフィス開設の予定もあり、東京ベースになると英語の要求度は若干落ちる）
・最低３年以上、IBDかBuyside（PE、インフラ、不動産）の経験者
・モデリングスキルがある方（ＬＢＯモデルを使用するため、実務経験はなくても問題ないが、独学でも学ばれている方が望ましい）
・英語はTOEFLでScore 100以上が目安のレベル
・国籍不問だが日本語はNativeに近い方
・多国籍、グローバルな環境で働けること

■VP向けに求められるスキル、経験（厳選採用）
Buyout fundでの経験者のみ対象
英語ビジネスレベル以上、日本語はNativeかNativeに近いレベルが必須
Report to 外国籍Managerになるため、英語は求めるレベルが高い

■シンガポール勤務の場合
Native Levelに近い英語力が必須：シンガポールオフィスは多国籍でほぼ全員英語がNative Level
英語がそこまでのレベルでない場合は、日本勤務可能な方（２０２５年夏以降に日本オフィスを立ち上げる予定があり）
