Ian was raised in Shanghai and Singapore, graduating from university in the United States, bringing him a multicultural environment. Raised in a family with Chinese Singaporean and American upbringing, he developed an early interest in languages and cross-cultural communication. He is trilingual in English, Japanese, and Chinese.

After relocating to Japan full-time in 2020, Ian worked in the sales and consulting role, supporting a wide range of individuals on career planning and overseeing transitions, helping them take the next steps in life.

Outside of work, Ian values time spent with friends and family. He also enjoys basketball, working out, language study, and continually pushing himself to grow personally and professionally.
