• Responsibility for leading the firm's legal and compliance function in Asia Pacific.
• Provide advice, counsel and guidance to Regional Leadership in support of the business goals and strategy in the Region.
• Champion and lead the implementation of the firm’s “Ethics Everywhere” Program in Asia
Pacific.
• Manage legal aspects of corporate and client transactions.
• Manage the selection and performance of external counsel engaged for the Asia Pacific’s
business.
• Manage compliance with rules, regulations, policies and procedures that are applicable to
the firm, globally, regionally, and in country.
• Coordinate with and support the Asia Pacific COO and Human Resources professionals on
legal aspects of employee and benefits matters.
• Establish key performance objectives and prioritize the activities of the Legal and
Compliance function, in alignment with other Global and Regional business objectives.
• Manage litigation, threatened litigation, claims and management reporting at both the
corporate and client levels.
• Support Their enterprise risk management and business continuity programs.
• Develop and manage the regional Legal and Compliance budget.
• Support the implementation and adoption of systems and technologies adopted by the firm including those adopted by the Legal and Compliance function on a global basis.
• Collaborate with parent company Legal and Compliance on OneLegal efforts.
• Contribute to the global legal strategy as a member of the Global Legal Leadership team. - Required Experience

Requirements
• Admitted to practice in at least one Asia Pacific jurisdiction; familiarity with multiple Asia Pacific
regulatory regimes preferred
• 12+ years of experience in private practice and/or in-house, in an international, high complexity
business
• Experience in investment management and/or asset management. Real Estate experience an
added advantage.
• Proven leadership and people development experience.
• Experience working within a global legal function and navigating matrix reporting structures
• Strong commercial acumen.
• Highly driven and ambitious self-starter.
