米国本社のTeam Headと直接会話しております。

1. What is team's responsibility?
The team focuses on asset-based lending within private credit.
The team specializes in lending backed by assets such as receivables, trade finance, equipment leases, auto loans, and sometimes special situation real estate.

investment angle is:
Primary focus:
Asset-based lending (ABL) — lending against assets such as:
Receivables (accounts receivable)
Trade finance
Equipment leases
Auto loans
Consumer credit (although limited in Japan)

Real estate:
They are open to special situations real estate lending if it is asset-backed, like lending against hotel assets that are being turned around.

But they are not a real estate investment fund — real estate is acceptable only as asset-backed finance, not as pure real estate equity investment.

2. What is the team top's expectation for Japan business?
Explore the asset-based lending opportunity in Japan, although the team top acknowledges the market is still very new and limited compared to the U.S. and Europe.
Start by hiring one senior person who can independently source and underwrite deals.
If successful, they are open to expanding the team later.
求める経験
- What type of candidate is the team top seeking for Japan market?

Mid-to-senior level professional (Senior VP, Director, or MD level).
Must be able to source deals and analyze/underwrite investments independently (hands-on).


- Ideal backgrounds:
From commercial banks (experience in corporate lending, LBO financing, mezzanine finance).

From mezzanine funds or asset-based lending teams at banks

Possibly from principal investment arms .
Should be motivated by the opportunity to "start up" the business in Japan with them.

Be flexible with nationality — candidates do not have to be native Japanese, as long as they know the Japan market and can operate effectively.
